This site concerns itself primarily with the HUDSON/GRAY/KELSHAW families history - roots established, so far, are in Staffs/Shrops/Herts in the 1700s.   The site also includes the GIBSON/PARSELL/MARDELL & associated families of Herts, London, Lancs & Cumbria.  Branches from these families are added as sufficient information has been researched (see Name Index in Menu).  Below are a list of Surnames - individuals are listed within each family branch in Menu.
The detailed information within some areas of this site is only for Members of the Registered Community and is Password Protected. () Copies of Certificates and Census Scans provide a detailed picture of our ancestors.   If you wish to join and participate in researching and recording our family history please use the Contact Form giving full details of your connection (possible or confirmed).

This site is not in the traditional tree format but rather is a consolidation of researched information. The site layout is therefore designed that information can be cross-checked and missing info or branches added easily. Although Tree extracts are published throughout the site, the full Tree is viewable on GENES REUNITED.  Published Trees throughout his site are in Pdf format (Adobe Acrobat is required).

Where sufficient information has been accrued, individual record pages are published  - others are published as Family Group Records.  Branches are constantly being added so please forward any info you have on your Branch (Contact detail in Menu).   Please join and help record our families history for posterity.  Detailed information (particularly Census & BMD Records) are recorded for key personalities in the family tree; group records for family branches are being added as necessary.  Dates indicated by throughout this site are confirmed by Certificates held; other dates are approximations for research purposes, subject to confirmation.

Where possible, GRO index references are shown against personalities events, in order that Certificates can be ordered online. These references are not necessarily accurate but fit the event date.  The General Register Office allocates a reference to every event of birth, marriage or death registered in England and Wales. This relates to the year, quarter, and district that the entry was registered in.  By giving the GR Office this index reference it allows correct entry to be quickly identified. This reference is only of use to the GRO and not to local registration offices who have their own system.

Interesting connections are already being found including - famous/well-known Stars of stage, screen and Music Hall, Welsh Royalty and a well-known English Artist.  In contrast there are connections to Slum-dwellers, railway workers, Australian Convicts plus a possible Highwayman link.
