BEDDOW (BEDDOE) family from Broseley, Shropshire were descendants of Elystan Glodrydd ‘Elystan the Renowned’ (975-1010), founder of one of the Royal Tribes of Wales.

BOTEVYLE (BOTFIELD) Sir Geoffroy came over to England from France (Poitou-Charentes)  in 1215 to assist King John against his rebellious barons. He was made Governor of Belvoir Castle, Leicestershire by the King. The descendants of the Bouteville brothers lived and settled in England at the manor at Church Stretton in Shropshire afterwards known as Botevyle, a small hamlet 2 miles North-East of Church Stretton.(Thynne (Marquis of Bath) was also a Branch).
